Volunteer Opportunity of the week:  
 Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Work Parties
Come to the NSEA’s first work party of the season on March 7th from 9am-noon at Deer Creek!
Other work parties are scheduled for:
March 14th and March 28th  9-noon to plant native trees and shrubs at Smith Creek
March 21st  9am-noon remove invasive blackberries at Squaw Creek.
High school students are also invited to be a part of their committee!

Try a Trade  at BTC Tues, Feb 24th   Students work in two programs of their choice for 75 minutes each. Deadline to register is Feb 10th. 

Friday Feb 27th - WWU Manufacturing Supply Chain - this is a new program at WWU  think Engineering meets Business!
3rd period in the Student Lounge.  Sign up in the Career Center for  a contract.

Monday, March 2 - Electronics presentation by Jim Swartos of the Washington Technology Institute. Robotics, Fiber Optics, NANO & Micro Systems are some of the courses offered. What careers do these lead to? Come listen to the presentation during 3rd period in the Student Lounge.  Sign up in the Career Center and pick up a contract.

College Planning Day  Friday, March 27th  - for Juniors and undecided Seniors  ( at WWU). Students listen to presentations by the major universities and colleges in Washington State.Deadline to register is Wednesday, March 25th 2:30pm.

Career Fair   Wed, April 1st   This the Rotary's annual event featuring a key note speaker. Students will attend four career presentations of their choice.Sign up in the Career Center by March 16th by 7:45am

Skagit Apprenticeship Tour    Wed, April 22nd   Grades 11-12  hands on activities at three apprenticeship training locations.  Register by April 17th. Parent chaperones appreciated! Sign up in the Career Center by Thursday, April 16th by 7:45am
