Leadership Update

Dear Sehome Families and Community,
We announced to Sehome staff today that this is my last year as principal of Sehome High School. I have accepted the job of superintendent of the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District.  I will finish the school year at Sehome, then begin my new role in July.

While I am looking forward to this new opportunity, I am reflecting on my time at Sehome and filled with gratitude for the opportunity to lead an incredible team. I love the personal connections and relationships we’ve established as a staff and with our students and extended Mariner community, which really feels like family. Thank you for trusting me and welcoming me into Sehome three and half years ago and for the amazing work we’ve done together to build community (and a new school!) and create culture.

In the coming days and weeks, the district will begin a process to fill the principal position for next school year. This process will include meeting with Sehome staff and families to gather input on desired leadership qualities.

Please let me know if you have any questions. It has been an honor to serve our students and families.

Thank you,

Michelle Kuss-Cybula
